I posted this photo today, and I am a little upset about the rejection E-mail I recieved, which stated the following:

Screener Comments:
the green doesn't even look green

We really don't have time for experiments. Please stop wasting our time.

I thought this was a good photo...I was not "experimenting" with anything, and frankly I find the comment rude and un-helpful. Also, what green exactly is being referred to here? The grass is dead, so it isn't going to be green. The plane is a very faded olive drab...Again, not green. The grass on the hula skirt of the nose art looks pretty darn green to me...As do the signs and trees in the background.

Please help me with some CONSTRUCTIVE criticism here.

Okay. I guess I can understand that. However, I have never looked at a photo and thought...Gee, this is horrible...I'm going to submit it anyway just to waste their time! I thought the remark was quite callous, and un-called for. I was shooting in some tough conditions, and I've been having problems with my computer screen. To me, they looked okay. I apologize for the photos. I'll try and do a better job of self-critique in the future.

Hello Aaron,

A problem with your computer screen could ruin your edits easily. The Mitchell is indeed very de-saturated but this should be visible when comparing your uploads to other photos here on Airfighters.

But all is not lost, and I have done a very quick 30-second fix to the Mitchell photo by making it darker, add some contrast and pushing the saturation up. It already cleans up the image and with a little work I am sure the photos will be accepted.
