Hi there,
1st of all a big compliment about the growing database and the many functions to search for ::2thumbs_grin} Lately I've found a 'little' problem with the style of the SAF's Tiger II in using the c/n and wrote it down during upload as comment for the screener. Maybe it was gone lost or you are working on it. Anyway - here that what I've found:
The 1st example is showing the correct c/n-Number used by Swiss Air Force, with a dot after the L. The second example is a more common version now on the web, with other databases using it. What should we use in the future ? For example: J-3093 is giving different numbers of pictures on DB when searching for c/n L.1093 (34 pictures) or registry J-3093 (38 pictures) The numbers without dot are more common in database and maybe we should use those in future. Other Swiss Tigers on DB with dot's in the c/n where:
And when you are already working on that Database ... can you please change the writing on my photos of J-3003 ?
Sorry for maybe a lot of work, but it would be easier to find 'Doubles' before uploading a new picture of them. Greetings from Switzerland in Spring Muuuuhhh - welcome in the land of milk and chocolate |

Thanks for the heads up, Sven.
´76-' will give no search results anymore. As the FMS number has nothing to do with the construction number I did remove these from the cn fields. I did also change all '76-' in the remarks fields. One problem solved. I think your suggestion to remove the dot is a good one (albeit not 100% correct). This means over 100 pictures need a change in cn. I hope Ray has some magic tool to do so. If not, it will take some time to have the changes indivudually made. |

Thanks Joop,
I hope too that it's not to much work. There are still some Tigers not yet in the database and for them I will use the 'new' style of c/n then. About the FMS number - Ok with me and thanks again ::thumb_grin} Muuuuhhh - welcome in the land of milk and chocolate |

Ok, I have modified all the ones that start with L.1***. Are there any others?

Thanks for the quick action, Ray.
All Swiss F-5F are already lined up as 'M1'. As far as I can see there are no "M.1' in the DB. So everything is fixed now, I think. |

Sorry of bringing up this Thread again - found another wrong serial of (ex)SwissAF-Tiger ...
L-1058 should be changed to L1058
Fast screening with different types of L-numbers gave no other results, but maybee you can see more. Thanks in advance, Grimmi Muuuuhhh - welcome in the land of milk and chocolate |

Thanks Sven for highlighting this.
Unfortunately, too many of these inconsistencies are present in the database. Whenever you spot something, feel free to send me a PM and I'll have a look at it. Regards, |
