Thanks Mark, I'm glad you like it. In addition to the new layout, the main navigation menu has been simplified and a new basic search added to the header which allows for search from any page. I'm still tweaking the design a bit and hope to add a new section this week some time as well. It will take a bit of getting use to, but shouldn't be too difficult. The rest of the site is pretty much the same.

I don't know why people are so shy, I've gotten about a half dozen positive private messages about the new look, but nothing in the forums. Thanks for taking the time to write Mark.

I agree with Mark and Péter, the new homepage is much improved and enphasises *military aviation photography* which surely is why we are all members here

Well, I have spoken my mind publicly several times over the last few years, not everyone has agreed which is fair enough, but I am still living and breathing :wink

I think the reason for people being 'so shy' is negative experience elsewhere on internet aviation based posting boards. For example, one one of Airfighter's main rivals runs a system of 'respect ratings' which seems to be based upon encouraging large number of posts and seeking votes from other like-minded members. Despite the majority of those posters not having contributed one photograph to that database, high 'respect rating' seems to encourage conformity and group-think on that site. It certainly does not encourage contributions from new members.

Also, the very poor standards of moderation and blatant hypocrisy on a couple of so called 'aviation review' boards (one in the UK) have also IMHO contributed to this 'shyness'and I don't blame anyone who has suffered on those boards for keeping their heads down as a result.

Please, don't be shy, post what you think here; say if you like, say if you don't like! We are all here because we love *military aviation photography* and that is all that should matter here

Thanks guys. I'm glad you all like it. I was aiming for a simple, and clutter-free design as possible. I'm still playing around with it a bit, the design should be finalized in a day or two, so don't get worried if things look a bit out of place here and there.
