New members,
Please use this area to introduce yourself. Tell us a little about yourself, your interests, hobbies, photography focus, where you like to shoot, what have you. This is a great place to sort of break the ice and at the same time get a little used to the software and functionality of things. Welcome aboard.

Welcome Louis. Good to have you here, and great photos.

BTW, to keep the focus on the subject at hand, images in signatures are now allowed. I've seen some Forums where you have to hunt to find the text, and I don't want this Forum to be like that. Sorry about that.

Again, welcome aboard Louis and we look forward to seeing your photos on the site.

Just curious if you are talking about the copyright on my photos that are posted on my www.flickr.com page. If so, those would not be on any photos that are posted here on this site. I definitely understand that there should not by anything like that on a photo that would be uploaded to a site like this. I have photos on some of the other sites and know that type of stuff is not allowed. My copyright is on the photos that are on my www.flickr.com webpage to try and help protect them from being claimed by other people.

Thanks for your concern.

Hi Louis,
No, no I'm talking about when people enter some kind of an image in their signature line. Then at the bottom of every single one of their posts is a huge banner that is very distracting. Only text is allowed here. As you can see I have a signature, set from my profile, and it automatically appears whenever I make a post. That's all. Nothing to do with photos.

Welcome aboard Dex. We'll be looking forward to your contributions in the forum here. I'm sure people will have all kinds of questions about mid-air refueling. It's a pretty interesting an unique concept. It'd be great if one of you guys did a detailed article on exactly how it works, the logistics of it and all, with tons of pictures. I'm sure everyone would enjoy reading it. Something to think about. Again, welcome and good to have you here.

HELLO EVERYBODY My name is VICTOR from PONCE,PR. I'm not a good photographer even I'm not a good computer operator but I love the MILITARY AVIATION PHOTOGRAPHY. IT's so sad to me at this moment because rigth here and rigth now you can't see any figther aircraft since Roosevelt Roads Naval Base is close operations 4years ago...In that moment I decided to retire to... (of course from the hobbie of aviation photography and my equipment was a CANON EOS 35mm with Sigma 170-500mm Zoom) Now the history is diferent with the digital cameras; for me it's better tech and I love that. For this reason, I'm engage the hobbie again after 4years of retirement, now I'm 36years old and I a bus driver with the Goverment and I have a new digital camera [PANASONIC DMC-FZ30( It's not a best choice for aviation photography but it's help in some ways)] Thanks for bring me the oportunity to welcome onboard to a great site like this one

Hello,

I joined Airfighters.Com last night, have been looking for somewhere sensible to post military photos to for a while. Just uploaded a few Starfighters to start with taken back in 1985. Oh yes, I forgot; I am Michael Baldock, age 48, live in Guildford, and I work as railway train crew. Have been interested in aircraft since I was 3 years old! My other interest is abandoned airfields and military sites hence my user name 'Ghostbase' which was the title of my old website, now reopened and relocated to:

Howdy pardners

My name is Wayne and I cam across this site from a friend that was sending me some photos from it. I own my own business doing team uniforms and silkscreeening. We number and letter the Buffalo Sabres jerseys if you follow hockey at all. I spent 6 years in the USAF working on E model Phantoms from 1980-1986. Married with a 6 year old daughter. I enjoy aviation photography (who doesn't) and you can see some of my photos here. http://www.jetphotos.net/showphotos.php?aircraft=-2&airline=-2&country=-2&photog=-2&category=-2&year=-2&keywordrange=photog&keywordlimiter=1&keywords=wayne+dippold&sort=1&genre=1&size=-2&mainsearch=search&displaymode=1&display=15

I also enjoy building plastic models.
Look forward to spending some time here.

Well, like Tim (airwolfhound) and Steve (jacksonphreak), I too found out about Airfighters.com from UKAR. Only heard more and more people talk about this site, so I figured I'd join and share with the fellow members here, as I do on A.net, UKAR, etc.

Hello everyone,

I am a regular like SnowJ on some UK forums, mainly Fighter Control and UKAR. My main interest is military aircraft photography which I have been doing seriously now for 3 years. I have taken pictures at military shows and bases since the mid 80's but nothing with any decent equipment. My passion takes me all around Europe but I am hoping to do west coast USA next year for the first time.

My equipment includes the following:

Canon EOS 20D x2
Canon EF 100-400L
Canon EF 70-200L f/2.8
Canon EF 300L f/4
Canon EF 24-105L
plus the usual extras.

Just uploaded my first two pictures, will upload some more later.

Cheers

Glad to help! I've always been of the mind--until recently--that, whatever I uploaded to Airliners.net, chances are everyone's already seen 'em. Well, I'm glad to hear that may in fact not be the case.8) I guess I can link to my A.net stuff, seeing as someone has already linked to their JP stuff...thanks for the idea!:wink

Heyyy. Just saw the ad on Anet, and figured I'd join up and share some of my shots. My sources for military shots are mainly airshows and limited approach views to Randolph AFB.

So far, this site looks very well done... congrats to the Admins for getting it started!
