I've just had this shot rejected for being too tight......the whole of the aircraft is in the shot, I don't like excess space to the left and right of my shots, I think it detracts from the subject, any ideas.....

As I said in the PM, that's how I like taking pictures, I'm not going to be changing how I like taking pictures I'm afraid!

Chris, that is really tight. In fact, so close that the tip of the horizontal stabilizer is cut off. There should be a little bit of space around the edges to allow the photo to sort of "breathe". This has become a bit of an issue lately, and we're seeing it over at airlinerdb as well. Photos cropped so tight that half the horizontal stabilizer is cut off. Please allow a bit of free space at the nose and tail, not too much though, just a few pixels is enough.

I crop inside of the horizontal stabilizer, to the APU exhaust, as it means the shot is more balanced (Not large area of space near the tail, with none at the nose!
I have close to 300 shots ready to upload, I assume each and every one of them will be rejected for this reason? I don't want to have to re-edit every one. |
