Sadly I had my first photo rejection today
 It was a photo taken through the fence at AMARC in 1987 of the fin of B-52C 53-0400, a significant 'BUFF' because she was the first of the operational B-52C models. The photo was rejected as follows: "Sorry, we can't allow photos behind fences. As rare as this photo is, it will set a precedent for others. Very sorry for the rejection." Fair enough, I do understand this reason and won't submit any similar shots in future  My question is, is there anywhere where what is acceptable and is not acceptable outlined, or is it a question of trial and error through photo submissions? Also, a couple of specifics: 1) Do you accept recognisable military personnel in submitted photos? (eg. in front of a static display at an airshow). 2) What about military nose art? There have been some great examples of nose art on B-52s for example, will you accept a 1024x768 photo of the artwork only or does a proportion of the aircraft have to be visible as well? I'm glad you're not taking it personally, as no one should. Dozens of photos get rejected everyday for various reasons. Other than the FAQ section there really is no guideline for what will be accepted and what won't. I'm glad you brought it up, so I, together with the other screener, will write one up and post it in the Forums, Site-related section. To answer your other questions for now: 1) No. If the faces can be made out, we can't accept it. 2) Yes. Nose art is ok. As long as it's clear that it is on an airplane and not hanging on the wall  . If the entire nose section is in frame, even better.

Michael,
I saw the shot that was rejected and it was the fence that was the problem, too much wire in the shot. As the nice screener said (god were polite here ) it would set a precedent and were have all sorts of common things with a nice barb wire camo effect  Keep the shots coming Paul |
