How does one find out exactly what model a military aircraft is, especially older aircraft? (example: Is it an B-25A, B-25B, B-25C, etc.) Is there an internet site where civilians can resarach military aircraft? With sites like "Landings.com" and the FAA's web site it is possible to search by the aircraft registration number for civilain aircraft in the USA. Also, are there similar sites for researching aircraft from other countries?

Hi Ted,

Not sure about the older aircraft. Here is a good starting point for newer airframes though.
