Hi All,
I'd like to welcome Mr. Gary Stedman to the airfighters.com crew as a Database Editor. Gary has over 20 years experience photographing, researching and learning about military aircraft and munitions. He's also a writer for Air-Scene UK, and contributor to several aviation-related forums on the web. I will let him tell you more about his credentials himself. We look forward to his commitment and contributions to the site. Welcome aboard Gary!

-Ray

This is the oldest I've ever been.

Thanks Ray,

Ok, that's going to be quite a introduction to live upto! Many thanks for the welcome and I certainly intend to repay Ray's faith in me. I'll gradually be looking over the screening queue to start with but plan to go into the database as soon as possible and hopefully simplify and streamline some of the entries in due course. As Ray says I'm one of regular writers for Air-Scene UK and am a member of several of the major aviation forums on the web. I am interested in military history in general so hope to be able to put some of that to good use for WWII warbird entries. Out and around the airfields, I can often be found on the fence of my local, the British army airfield at Wattisham (the last RAF Phantom base for those old enough!) photographing Apache's. I hope to get upto speed quickly, but if anybody wants to contact me and bring something in the database to my attention, or have a idea - by all means contact me.

Gary

Hi,

Thanks for the warm welcome gents. Just to let you know a couple of things. I'm looking at photo's in the screening queue as they come in and am adding type and serial information where possible. Obviously, this relies on me knowing that something is amiss in the first place and some types will be more familiar than others. If you have a type or even a variant of a existing type that you wish to submit and it's not already in the database, rather than select 'other', let me know (by PM if you wish) and I'll add it to the menu - espically if it's a entry that might be popular. I've added a few already but the more that are done before hand will free me up to spend more time looking through the database. Thanks again gents.

Gary
