Just wondering, is there a facility for contacting the Photo Screeners ahead of submitting some scans? The reason I ask is that I want to submit three photos taken at Koksijde in 1991; the subjects are rare aircraft (a Meteor NF.11, a Super Mystere B.2, and a Mystere IVA). The problem is that there is a metal fence visible in all three photos and I just wanted to send a courtesy e-mail explaining my rationale for sending the photos. If they get rejected then that is fair enough however I don't want to appear to be a poor photographer, it is just what I took them back in 1991 before the internet and Airfighters.Com was even thought of :wink

Hi Michael,
Not yet. In a few weeks there will be a "notes to screener" box on the upload page for such remarks to explain certain situations. For now, I guess you can post a "message to screeners" topic in the 'Site Related" section of the Forum and they'll see it. Obviously, this will make it public, so you can send an e-mail to me if you wish. -Ray |

Ok, I just implemented a little feature we had but haven't used yet. In the "Site Related" section of the Forum, I have turned on "Private" threads. When you click on "New Topic", right under the title you'll see a checkbox to make the topic private. If checked, only you and the admin/moderators will be able to see the thread. So, you can use that if you wish Michael. This will not work in other sections of the Forum.

That is what I love about this site I send you a message asking 'Can this be done' and you just go ahead and come up with a solution or at least a fix to keep us going for a while. Fantastic!
Thanks Ray Michael Appears to be thinking... |
